You will first need to point your domain name to the orddns.com hosting service. Create an 'A' record for any of the root domains or subdomains that you want to point to an inscription.
Root Domain (e.g. orddns.com)
Subdomain (e.g. myord.orddns.com)
Here are instructions for adding an 'A' record on common registrars.
Create a json text object that includes the domain name and inscription ID as shown in the example below. An on-chain example can be seen here.
{ "fqdn" : "rickrollordinal.com",
"inscription_id" : "cec975448ae91832a242681f86923b420ce83ee06800f320634a9ae5072a8f88i0"
}
Inscribe the json object with a postage of 500 sats for each day you want the mapping to work. The inscription should be sent to the following address:
bc1pqa9gezwen6jad88lulvxs8tlzh0pq6lqhdfjag73haaf05ag9xksq7dl9f
Within 5-10 minutes of the inscription transfer confirmation, your domain will now display the raw content of your ordinal.
Check out rickrollordinal.com as an example.
In order to see the number of days your have remaining in your balance, you can visit http://[yourdomain]/balance. You can see an example at http://rickrollordinal.com/balance
When your balance runs out, simply reinscribe your mapping inscription with more sats and you're on your way!
